Inovasi Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia: Materi Ungkapan dan Peribahasa dengan Media Interaktif PPT dan Flipbook Pada Siswa Kelas 6 SDN 1 Metro Pusat

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student enthusiasm toward learning Indonesian, particularly in the topic of expressions and proverbs, which was caused by a lack of innovation during the learning process. This condition resulted in students experiencing difficulties in understanding the material. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of instructional innovation using interactive media (PowerPoint and Flipbook) as learning tools to enhance students’ enthusiasm and understanding of expressions and proverbs. The research involved 21 sixth-grade students of SDN 1 Metro Pusat as the subjects. The method used was a descriptive quantitative approach. The instrument used to measure students’ level of understanding was a test, which was developed to determine the extent to which the material on expressions and proverbs could be mastered after the use of interactive media (PowerPoint and Flipbook). The results showed that the average pre-test and post-test scores of students before and after using the interactive media were 42.8 and 97.1, respectively. Based on the data analysis obtained from the test, the interactive media (PowerPoint and Flipbook) proved to enhance both student enthusiasm and understanding.The average test scores indicated that the majority of students responded positively to the use of this media, with a significant improvement in their understanding of expressions and proverbs. Thus, interactive media (PowerPoint and Flipbook) could be considered an effective instructional innovation to help students better understand expressions and proverbs in a concrete and contextual manner, enabling them to more easily relate the concepts to their daily lives.
